It’s possible I go to too many wine bars.
This one totally wasn’t my fault, though. I had just finished a lovely meal of chicken fajitas and a giant margarita at a yummy Mexican restaurant at The Forum in Carlsbad, and walked by this wine bar that I’ve seen a bunch of times and have always wanted to go in. So I did. Go in. I was already walking off the margarita, so probably not a good idea to sit at the bar and guzzle down more booze. I did need to drive home at some point.
I love the feel this place has. It’s cozy, but stylish. I’m real classy and base my wine purchases on how awesome the label is. I saw some pretty swanky labels in this place.
As most wine shops are, their prices aren’t as great as Trader Joe’s, but I’m pretty sure the wine is worth it. Most of us have soirées to attend this time of year, and it’s usually nice to bring the host/hostess a gift. A bottle of nice wine with a rad label, perhaps?
They even have a whole section of great wines for under $20. Or perhaps you’d like to bring your host/hostess some of the other gifts The Wine Loft has to offer…
I want those salt and pepper vessels. I’ll pretend I’m a gourmet chef and use pinches of salt and pepper so constantly that I need them at arms reach at all times. Taking the lid off is just not an option. I need them fully accessible. At all times.
I’ll make sure to actually try the wine next time I go in. And maybe buy you a present. If you invite me over for a soirée in which I can wear sparkly clothing.
